Alternative Christmas Giving

What gift will you give this year?  It may seem like a simple question, but as we reflect on the lessons of Advent we often find that the “stuff” we give falls short of the true gifts of the season – Hope, Joy, Peace and Love. Global Ministries believes that these rare and precious gifts should be shared globally.

With an Alternative Christmas Gift you honor your loved ones and make a difference in the lives of people around the world. It is a gift that does not get returned, a gift that never breaks, a gift that does not require a trip to the overcrowded mall, and a gift that will be deeply cherished by all who receive it.

This year, the Global Mission Team invites you to surprise friends and family with a gift that cannot be found on any shelf – give Hope, give Joy, give Peace, and give Love with an Alternative Christmas gift.

The Alternative Christmas giving table will be open during December to make purchases after Sunday services or  you can make online purchases. Those who buy online can bring in a copy of their order and pick up cards at the table on Sunday if they wish for gift giving.

Please use the order form in the church on Sundays or order online to pick out gifts that make a difference.

Gifts can be made to support Heifer Project, Church World Services, Global Missions and several local ministries in Eugene: Interfaith Sunday Breakfast, Good Samaritans and the Helping Hand Room at FCC Eugene, St. Vincent de Paul Youth Housing, and Square One Villages.

Checks are made to FCC. Gifts range from $10-$500. Thank you for making a difference!
